Socks in a trampoline park are not optional
Unlike Pilates studios, where grip socks are strongly recommended, at trampoline parks wearing them is in most cases mandatory for health and safety reasons. Every visitor needs them — the only question is where they buy them.
And that's exactly where the opportunity lies. Every visitor who arrives without socks is a potential customer. Most parks waste this opportunity by selling generic white socks with no identity. What if instead you sold something the customer takes home — and remembers where it came from?
The numbers: 500 visitors a week
Take a typical mid-sized trampoline park with 500 visitors a week. Based on averages from existing parks, around 25–35% of visitors arrive without suitable socks — that's 125–175 people every single week.
Generic vs. branded — the real numbers
Generic blank socks cost around €3 per pair. They sell for €4–5. The margin is lower, the customer throws them away when they get home, and the park gains zero brand value.
Branded socks with the park logo cost on average €3.50–5.50 per pair at an order of 500+ pieces. They sell for €7–9. The margin is higher in both absolute and percentage terms. And the customer takes them home — and keeps wearing them.
- Generic: purchase €3 → sell €4.50 → profit €1.50 / pair
- Branded: purchase €3.50 → sell €7 → profit €3.50 / pair
- At 150 pairs a week: difference of €300 per week, €1,200 per month
"For the same number of pairs sold, a park with branded socks earns 2.3× more — and on top of that gets a walking advertisement the customer wears beyond the park."
Customer impression: a small detail with a big impact
Trampoline parks compete for repeat visits. Kids want to come back — but parents compare. Branded socks are one of the cheapest ways to make an impression that lasts.
A child takes home socks with the park's logo. They wear them to P.E., they see them in the wardrobe every morning. The park is present in their daily life — and the next weekend when the family decides where to go, it's the first thing that comes to mind.
Practical setup for a park
For trampoline parks we recommend starting with an order of 300–500 pairs, to have enough stock for 2–3 weeks without restocking. Keep socks at the till in a clearly visible display — impulse purchase before entry is highest there.
Consider also offering a single-use option for visitors who forgot — and premium multi-use socks with better grip for regular visitors. Two price points, higher average spend.
